Montreal, June 25, 2024 – The Greater Montreal Climate Fund is opening applications for its second call for projects. For the second consecutive year, the fund is allocating a total grant envelope of $250,000, with a maximum of $50,000 per project, to support innovative greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction initiatives in Greater Montreal.
Eligible organizations (municipalities, state-owned enterprises, registered charities, non-profit organizations, and educational institutions – including universities) can submit their applications from June 25, 2024, to September 28, 2024, by completing the form available on our website. Only eligible projects, i.e., projects aimed at accelerating the reduction of GHG emissions in Greater Montreal, will be considered for a grant.
This year, the Greater Montreal Climate Fund will focus on decarbonization projects that address equity, inclusion, and reconciliation issues or are carried out with or by municipalities.
