With the support of the Fonds Climat du Grand Montréal, IVÉO and the Fondation du Cégep de Saint-Jérôme are joining forces to develop a greenhouse gas emissions calculator. The goal? To raise awareness among municipalities of the environmental impact of trucks. To achieve this, the partners are working on the development of an electrification strategy tailored to municipal fleets and heavy-duty vehicles.

Fleet Electrification Scenario Simulator to Help Prioritize Investments

The simulator is designed for municipalities to accelerate fleet electrification by highlighting the various specialized vehicles available, the costs associated with their electrification, available subsidies, and the potential greenhouse gas emissions reductions based on specific use cases. Using a common metric, expressed as “$ per tonne of greenhouse gas emissions reduced,” municipalities can direct their investments toward the solutions that deliver the greatest environmental impact.
