Facilitating the socio-ecological transition of homes

The CÔTÉ Habitat project aims to facilitate the socio-ecological transition of non-profit housing and small owners or tenants by centralizing support and financing. It targets a key sector for GHG reduction, and a clientele that is often overlooked, such as cooperatives, community housing and small landlords.

Its approach goes beyond energy renovation to include:

  • Improved quality of life (air quality, climate resilience, reduced energy costs);
  • A viable business model to ensure sustainability;
  • Scalability and replicability potential (transferable tools, GHG monitoring, data sharing);
  • Collaboration between three organizations bringing together citizens, researchers and social housing players.

With the support of the Climate Fund, CÔTÉ Habitat aims to structure its offer and support a greater number of players in the energy transition.

Quote from the general management of ACHAT

Thanks to the support of the Climate Fund, we are able to work concretely to improve the resilience of our urban habitats. The CÔTÉ Habitat project is designed to give homeowners and tenants better access to high-quality, cross-disciplinary support that encompasses all aspects of the social-ecological transition in housing – energy efficiency, waste management, sustainable mobility, greening and citizen participation.
