Introduction

Welcome to the application form for the 2026–2027 decarbonization call for projects of the Greater Montreal Climate Fund.

This call for projects is intended to fund transformative, mobilizing, and innovative projects or initiatives that help reduce greenhouse gas emissions across Greater Montreal. It also seeks to support a wide range of climate solutions that can be replicated and scaled for the benefit of Greater Montreal communities.

Note: This online application form can be saved and edited at any time using the automatically generated link. Once the form is complete, please be sure to submit your application so that it can be considered under this call for projects. You will receive a confirmation email.

Demonstrate the project’s relevance

4.1 👉 Objectives and impacts

Describe the project's main activities and associated objectives, as well as the tangible deliverables and the anticipated long-term impacts once the project has been completed.*

The response must not exceed 3,000 characters (including spaces). Any response that exceeds this limit will not be considered.

4.2 👉 Greenhouse gas reductions

What is the GHG emissions reduction potential of the proposed initiative (over the project duration or annually, in tonnes of CO₂ equivalent)?*

Explain how the project will reduce GHG emissions and how this reduction will be measured (methodology or resources used).*

4.3 👉 Co-benefits

Describe the co-benefits the project will generate. If possible, include supporting figures. *

Examples: Health, safety, quality of living environments, resilience and adaptation to climate change, access to housing, and conservation of natural environments. The response must not exceed 2,500 characters (including spaces). Any response exceeding this limit will not be considered.

4.4 👉 Principles of equity, inclusion, and reconciliation

Where applicable, explain how the project incorporates principles of equity, inclusion, and reconciliation.

4.5 👉 Project characteristics

Explain how the project is transformative, mobilizing, and innovative.*

Is the project part of a long-term transformation vision?
Does it introduce new practices, ideas, or methods in a community, offer an original adaptation, or scale an existing solution?

4.6 👉 Scaling potential

Indicate whether and how your project could be replicated and scaled across Greater Montreal, and how you plan to ensure the project’s long-term sustainability.*

For example: knowledge and expertise transfer, development of reusable tools, data, and materials, mobilization and partnership development, mechanisms for sharing and promoting results, etc. The response must not exceed 3,000 characters (including spaces). Introduce the key members of the project team and describe their relevant expertise for project implementation.*
