01 – Grants
We grant subsidies
We provide financial support for innovative, structuring decarbonization initiatives with strong potential for scale-up in Greater Montreal. We collaborate with a wide range of players (municipalities, universities, non-profit organizations, Crown corporations, entrepreneurs, etc.).
02 – Programs
We create decarbonization programs
Our ambition is to create structuring programs targeting Greater Montreal’s most polluting sectors. Discover MultiRés©, our 1st energy renovation program for multi-residential buildings in Greater Montreal.
03 – Investments
We make impact investments
We support the development of a green, low-carbon economy. We do this through direct investments, investments in hedge funds and investments in projects and programs.

Sustainable mobility
Did you know? In Quebec, road transportation accounts for 31.1%* of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. The Fonds Climat du Grand Montréal strongly supports sustainable and/or active mobility initiatives in the educational, professional, personal and commercial spheres.

Building
Energy-efficient building renovation and sustainable urban development represent a major challenge for the Communauté métropolitaine de Montréal (CMM). We encourage initiatives to decarbonize buildings and sustainably optimize our public spaces.

Equity and inclusion
It’s a deep conviction: there can be no ecological transition without climate justice. The Fonds Climat du Grand Montréal supports decarbonization projects that aim to reduce inequalities and meet the needs of the region’s vulnerable populations.

Capacity building
Mobilization, consultation, awareness-raising and training are the levers of local transformation with considerable impact. We encourage initiatives that connect players and give them the keys to working together more effectively, breaking down silos and promoting the transfer of expertise to accelerate decarbonization.
