Accelerating the ecological transition
Reduce and recycle residual materials
The Circular Economy Fund accelerates the ecological transition in Quebec by reducing residual materials, supporting their recovery and reducing GHG emissions. By focusing on innovation, optimization and collaboration, it finances solutions rooted in the circular economy and encourages exchanges between young start-ups and large corporations.
In particular, the Fund targets the agri-food sector, supporting urban agriculture, short supply chains and the recovery of by-products; in recycling, it finances innovative technologies to reclaim resources; and in eco-construction, it encourages the management of construction residues and eco-design to reduce the use of raw materials and associated emissions.
Our ambition is to profoundly transform the economy. It is by developing innovative initiatives like the Circular Economy Fund that we support this transformation, with the help of community and financial partners such as the Greater Montreal Climate Fund. With the fund, we make it possible for innovative business models and sustainable projects to emerge that meet real social or environmental needs and help accelerate the emergence of a circular economy.
