Facilitating the socio-ecological transition of homes
A one-stop shop to speed up social housing renovation
The CÔTÉ Habitat project aims to facilitate the socio-ecological transition of non-profit housing and small owners or tenants by improving support and financing. It targets a key sector for GHG reduction, and a clientele that is often overlooked, such as cooperatives, community housing and small landlords.
Its approach goes beyond energy renovation to include:
- Improved quality of life (air quality, climate resilience, reduced energy costs);
- A viable business model to ensure sustainability;
- Scalability and replicability potential (transferable tools, GHG monitoring, data sharing);
- Collaboration between three organizations bringing together citizens, researchers and social housing players.
With the support of the Climate Fund, CÔTÉ Habitat aims to structure its offer and support a greater number of players in the energy transition.
