Sharing between municipalities
Machinery, vehicles, infrastructure, and specialized tools are among the resources that the ten municipalities participating in IVÉO’s pilot project will be able to share through the new platform. Supported by the Greater Montreal Climate Fund, this solution aims to foster collaboration and break down siloed operations.
The goal is clear: to optimize municipal assets and reduce the carbon footprint by limiting the purchase of new equipment—all while respecting the principle of territorial equity. The solution is designed to give municipalities, both large and small, access to resources and expertise that they could not obtain individually.
The success of IVÉO’s project will be measured using precise indicators, including the number of shared pieces of equipment, the savings achieved, and the tons of CO₂ equivalent avoided. This is sure to inspire other municipalities to follow suit after the pilot project!
