Making sustainable mobility accessible
Expanding the transportation offer
The Bicycle Cargo Network relies on libraries and cultural centers as anchor points to democratize this liberating mode of transportation. The project deploys a collective fleet of 40 electric and non-electric bike carts in six Montreal boroughs.
To encourage the adoption of this mode of transport, the Bicycle Cargo Network, supported by volunteer involvement, offers discovery activities. This participatory approach facilitates community resilience while developing the skills of its members.
The initiative aims to strengthen six sharing communities and is expected to avoid 2342 tonnes of GHG emissions over three years.
