Spotlight on the recipients of the 2025-2026 call for projects

Here they are, the next wave of organizations receiving financial support from the Greater Montreal Climate Fund! Discover six decarbonization initiatives that are about to shift into high gear, directly benefiting the citizens of Greater Montreal. These initiatives are led by organizations that are firmly committed to action, proving that with the necessary funding, it is possible to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions while strengthening the economic and social resilience of our municipalities.

Équiterre

Grant: $50,000

With their project Global Health on the Menu in Greater Montreal Schools, Équiterre and its partners are committed to reducing the carbon footprint of school meals and improving the nutritional quality of meals offered to students in Greater Montreal. The vision: menus that give local and sustainable foods the prominence they deserve.

MR-63

Grant: $25,000

MR-63 and its partner Canam aspire to transform practices in the construction sector by experimenting with the reuse and recertification of structural steel for the future MR-63 Pavilion. The ambition is to build differently, reducing intrinsic carbon emissions without compromising on performance or safety. Beyond its environmental benefits, the initiative aims to experiment with and document innovative practices, while consolidating local expertise in the circular economy.

Subvention : 40 000 $

IVÉO innove une fois de plus avec la conception et l’expérimentation d’une plateforme numérique facilitant la mutualisation de biens et de services entre municipalités. With the Portrait project, the Community Housing Transformation Center and its partner, Concordia University, are joining forces to empower the community real estate sector to adopt more sustainable, efficient, and inclusive management and renovation practices. How? Through an innovative platform based on the integration of real data and energy modeling.

Coop Carbone

Grant: $37,500

How can we reduce the carbon footprint of freight transport? To meet this challenge, Coop Carbone is working to develop a structured network of urban logistics spaces. The goal: to give delivery companies and merchants the means to operate the last mile of delivery by cargo bike rather than van, thereby reducing pollution, congestion, noise, and safety risks in Montreal’s central neighborhoods.

Reducing pollution starts with better transportation! The Montreal North Neighborhood Council and its partners on the Active and Public Transportation Committee of the 2021-2026 Montreal North Social Development Plan are continuing their collective efforts to give residents of this isolated area the means to get around in a more environmentally friendly, economical, and safe manner.
