The Greater Montreal Climate Fund launches its 2026-2027 call for projects
Montreal, August 19, 2026 – The Greater Montreal Climate Fund is pleased to launch its 2026-2027 call for decarbonization projects, inviting organizations that are driving change on the ground to apply. With a total funding envelope of $250,000, this call aims to support the deployment or scaling of initiatives that help reduce greenhouse gas emissions while generating positive impacts for communities across Greater Montreal.
Who can apply?
Starting today and until October 16, 2026, municipalities and Indigenous communities across Greater Montreal, as well as non-profit organizations, charities, solidarity cooperatives and associations are invited to submit an initiative aligned with one or more of the following focus areas:
- Low-carbon buildings and infrastructure
- Sustainable mobility and urban logistics
- Energy systems
- Circular economy
What the Fund is looking for
The Fund seeks to accelerate initiatives that deliver greenhouse gas reductions, or demonstrate a clear potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in Greater Montreal, and are supported by a credible quantification methodology. Particular attention will be given to transformative projects that advance a just and equitable climate transition.
