Our impact
In 2023-2024, the Fonds Climat continued to act as a catalyst for climate finance innovation
Thanks to its ability to mobilize financial players, the Climate Fund strengthened its leverage effect by propelling structuring initiatives and carrying out, for the first time, a call for projects, a direct investment and the establishment of a building decarbonization program.

1st call for projects launched
We have launched our first call for projects aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions within the Communauté métropolitaine de Montréal (CMM).

1st building decarbonization program launched
With our financial partner Efficiency Capital, we have created MultiRés – a fully financed, turnkey energy renovation program for owners of multi-unit residential buildings (MURBs) in the 82 municipalities of Greater Montreal.

1st direct equity investment
We made our first direct equity investment in Kite Mobility, an electric mobility sharing solution (vehicles, bikes and scooters) accessible from a centralized platform in condos, resorts or community properties.

A word from General Management
The past year has been rich in projects, collaborations and, above all, impact. Together, we took up many challenges to accelerate the transition to a more sustainable and climate-resilient Greater Montreal.
We have invested in promising initiatives, promoting innovation, reducing GHG emissions and creating significant leverage to mobilize other players around ambitious solutions.
