The Energy Notebook: a concrete lever for energy-efficient renovations

The Energy Notebook for an Effective Transition project aims to equip the community housing sector with instant access to energy consumption data, as well as the technical knowledge needed to make informed decisions about energy-efficient renovations.
Implemented by the Centre de transformation du logement communautaire, this pilot project is based on the Portfolio Energy Star Manager tool, and includes pre- and post-retrofit awareness-raising workshops. More than 30 buildings managed by housing organizations and cooperatives in Greater Montreal will benefit from the project. Involving residents in this decarbonization process will help reinforce results and reduce GHG emissions over the long term.
